The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt triumphs at The Game Awards

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt won two categories: Game of the Year and Best Role Playing Game. The jury also awarded CD PROJEKT RED with the Developer of the Year trophy.

The Game Awards are an annual event initiated in 2014 and considered the successor to Video Game Awards (VGX) which ran between 2003 and 2013. The main prizes are awarded by a jury comprising representatives of respected gaming media from around the world. Additional trophies are awarded by popular vote.

This year’s success is not the first such outcome for CD PROJEKT RED. In 2014 The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt won the popular Most Anticipated Game of 2015 award.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt had previously received four Golden Joysticks in the following categories Ultimate Game of the Year, Best Storytelling, Best Visual Design and Best Gaming Moment, with CD PROJEKT RED collecting the Studio of the Year award.
