Promised Land Art Festival 2017 is now underway

CD PROJEKT RED, creators of The Witcher series of games, the city of Łódź, Poland and EC1 Łódź, announce that Promised Land — the festival uniting creative industry professionals from around the world — is now underway.

The event kicked off on Saturday, September 2nd, with Open Day, which welcomed hundreds of entertainment industry enthusiasts looking to go behind-the-scenes of some of the biggest games, films, and other works of art.

Open Day featured an entire day’s worth of lectures and panels hosted by renowned industry professionals, as well as portfolio review sessions with veterans from CD PROJEKT RED and Division 48 for aspiring artists. Those attending the event could also explore technology driving the industry forward, including the Shogun motion capture software from Vicon, HTC Vive virtual reality headset, as well as the latest developments in 3D printing solutions.

The main event began on Sunday, September 3rd. Taking place over the course of 4 days, Promised Land will play host to dozens of hands-on workshops and masterclasses in digital art, live demo sessions, lectures and discussion panels featuring and led by over 50 acclaimed specialists in 2D and 3D graphics, animation, VFX and production.

This year’s lineup includes some of the best and brightest from industry-leading studios, such as: Industrial Light & Magic, Guerrilla Games, Sean Daniel Company, Firaxis Games, Converse, Dreamworks Animation, Creative Assembly, Ubisoft, Riot Games, Eidos Montreal, Activision, 11 bit studios, Infinity Ward, Project Triforce, Phoenix Labs, Juice, Gameloft and CD PROJEKT RED.
