- CD PROJEKT announced that it is working on Songs of the Past – the third expansion for The Witcher 3, which is set to launch in 2027
- The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has reached the 65 million cumulative sales threshold
- In the first quarter of 2026 the CD PROJEKT Group reported 191 million PLN in revenues, and 106 million PLN in consolidated net earnings
- The Cyberpunk Trading Card Game garnered 28 million dollars on Kickstarter, making it the most financed game campaign and the third most financed project – regardless of category – in the platform’s history
– It is with great pleasure that I can confirm we are working on Songs of the Past. This third full-fledged expansion for The Witcher 3, previously mentioned as one of our unannounced projects, is currently at an advanced stage of development. The return of Geralt after more than one decade will be an excellent adventure, and a trip down memory lane, before we pass the baton to Ciri in the upcoming The Witcher 4 – says Michał Nowakowski, Joint CEO of CD PROJEKT – As for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, it reached another notable sales milestone, with more than 65 copies of the game now sold. This translates into a huge community of gamers for whom the new expansion provides an excellent opportunity to again hit the trail with the White Wolf. We also see great potential for Songs of the Past to become the first encounter with The Witcher universe, as well as the beginning of a fresh adventure, for many gamers – even as we await the release of The Witcher 4 – adds Mr. Nowakowski.
Songs of the Past, co-developed with Fool’s Theory, will launch in 2027.
In the first quarter of 2026 CD PROJEKT continued working to further expand the reach of its franchises. The base edition of Cyberpunk 2077, along with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition, joined the Xbox Game Pass Premium and Ultimate subscription catalogues. The Studio also continues to provide technological support for its past releases – in April a new update for Cyberpunk 2077 was released to fully exploit the power of the new PlayStation 5 Pro console.
– Being part of various distribution channels, and publishing updates for the newest hardware enable us to continue expanding our player base, and broadening the availability of our games. We also work to bolster the strength of our franchises beyond the realm of video games – and have had notable success in this regard. The Cyberpunk TCG, co-developed with WeirdCo, has become the most supported game – as well as the third most funded project – in the history of Kickstarter, with more than 28 million USD pledged. This showcases the extensive demand for more content from the Cyberpunk universe – remarks Michał Nowakowski.
In the first quarter of 2026 the CD PROJEKT Group generated 191 million PLN in revenues, which is 6% more than the year before. The Group’s consolidated net earnings for the period reached 106 million PLN.
– We had a solid revenue stream in the first three months of the year – primarily due to strong sales of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3, as well as their inclusion in the Xbox Game Pass Premium and Ultimate catalogues – says Piotr Nielubowicz, CFO of CD PROJEKT. – As we carry on with our work, each successive quarter sees an increase in investments on development projects even as we maintain a solid level of cash reserves – 1.4 billion PLN at the end of March. We are well prepared to further intensify our parallel development work on several projects in the context of our excellent franchises – summarizes Piotr Nielubowicz.
