CD PROJEKT wraps up the beginning of 2023

In the first quarter of 2023 CD PROJEKT focused on Phantom Liberty – the upcoming large expansion for Cyberpunk 2077. The Company also announced that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt had been purchased by over 50 million gamers worldwide.

If we add the two earlier parts of Geralt’s adventures, the entire trilogy has now sold more than 75 million copies. We are very pleased by the strength of this franchise, particularly in the context of our future projects set in the Witcher universe – says Adam Kiciński, CEO of CD PROJEKT.

The early months of 2023 were dominated by preparations for the launch of Phantom Liberty. The marketing campaign accompanying CD PROJEKT RED’s newest release is set to begin in June.

Our first stop will be Summer Game Fest: Play Days in Los Angeles. We are also planning a range of other events around the world, and will have more information to share in the coming weeks – adds Adam Kiciński.

In Q1 2023 the CD PROJEKT Group posted 175 million PLN in revenues and a consolidated net profit of 70 million PLN.

Similarly to earlier periods, the largest contribution to our sales came from Cyberpunk 2077. That said, The Witcher 3 also enjoyed another strong quarter in the wake of its next-gen console release, which took place in December 2022 – says Piotr Nielubowicz, CFO of CD PROJEKT.

On May 8 the Management Board of the Company recommended that nearly 100 million PLN of the net profit obtained in 2022 be allocated towards a dividend, at 1 PLN per share. The Supervisory Board subsequently endorsed this recommendation, and the final decision will be undertaken by the General Meeting scheduled for June 6.
