CD PROJEKT wins the „Polish Company – International Champion” competition

CD PROJEKT has won the „Polish Company – International Champion” title in the Exporter of the Year category. 2013 saw the second edition of the competition which rewards companies for success on international markets.

The competition, organized by PwC, a global consulting firm, aims to promote Polish companies which succeed on foreign markets, establish foreign branches and invest abroad. The organizers stress that such activities promote economic growth and raise the competitiveness of the Polish economy.

Nothing prevents a Polish company from making a successful bid for global leadership and establishing trends to be followed by other players. The CD PROJEKT Group has successfully gone down this path with The Witcher franchise as well as with its GOG.com digital distribution platform. We are very proud of these achievements and of the recognition we have received in Poland.” – says Michał Nowakowski, CD PROJEKT board member.

„Polish Company – International Champion” awards go to companies which successfully export goods or invest on foreign markets. This year’s Investor category prize was claimed by the Integer.pl group while a special award was presented to Energoinstal.

In October CD PROJEKT announced that games belonging to The Witcher series (developed by CD Projekt RED) have sold over 6 million copies worldwide, making The Witcher one of the most popular RPG franchises in the world. The GOG.com service operated by the Group is currently the second largest digital videogame distribution platform in the world, available in all UN-recognized countries and earning most of its revenue on the US market.
