Launch of Cyberpunk 2077 supported by advertising campaign involving Agora Group media and brands

Agora Group media and brands are set to take part in a custom, far-reaching advertising campaign supporting the domestic release of Cyberpunk 2077 – one of the most hotly anticipated videogame releases of the year. This marks another milestone in the cooperation between Agora and CD PROJEKT, which have previously joined forces – with great success – to introduce The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to the Polish market.

Towards the end of May the Agora Group and CD PROJEKT S.A. reached an agreement concerning preparations for the release of Cyberpunk 2077, scheduled for September 2020. As a result, CD PROJEKT RED’s new videogame will become the focus of a unique advertising campaign spanning all of Agora’s media: newspapers, online services and radio channels, while also exploiting the advertising potential of AMS (leader in innovative outdoor advertising solutions) and Helios (operator of Poland’s largest network of movie theaters). The involvement of highly recognizable brands, coupled with the diverse selection of advertising media, will enable Cyberpunk-related information to reach a broad audience. The first part of the campaign is scheduled for September, while the second part, focused on post-launch support, will take place in November 2020.

– I’m proud that the largest company on the Polish stock exchange has chosen Agora to promote its flagship product – especially given our track record of past collaboration. The release of Cyberpunk 2077 is eagerly awaited by the entire global gaming community. We’re glad that the reach and power of Agora’s brands will enable us to contribute to its success. – says Bartosz Hojka, CEO of Agora S.A.

– For our part, we’re happy to join forces with Agora to promote Cyberpunk 2077 in Poland. – adds Adam Kiciński, CEO of CD PROJEKT S.A. – Agora is a tried and trusted partner which whom we have successfully carried out past advertising campaigns, including those of The Witcher 2 and The Witcher 3. I’m confident that the ambitious Cyberpunk 2077 campaign, drawing upon the strength of Agora media, will entice even more Polish players to purchase our game.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a narrative-driven, open world RPG set in the most vibrant and dangerous metropolis of the future — Night City. The game follows the story of V, a hired gun on the rise in a world of cyberenhanced street warriors, tech-savvy netrunners and corporate life-hackers. Featuring CD PROJEKT RED’s hallmark concept of choices and consequences, players will face difficult decisions that ripple through the entire game. Winner of over 200 awards, Cyberpunk 2077 is set in the universe of the classic pen & paper RPG system, Cyberpunk 2020.

Cyberpunk 2077 will release September 17th, 2020, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with the version for Google Stadia set to launch the same year. Further information can be found on the game’s official website and on its Facebook and Twitter profiles.

Direct cooperation between Agora and CD PROJEKT in the scope of Cyberpunk 2077 marks another foray into the videogame market on the part of the company. Past collaboration with CD PROJEKT saw Agora act as the co-publisher and distributor of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Both releases proved hugely successful on the domestic and global markets, and the results of to-date cooperation between both capital groups have been extremely positive.
